APsystems APmeter Zero Export Controller for EZ1
Smart Zero Export Control for Your APsystems EZ1 Plug-In Solar System
Take control of your plug-in solar production with the APsystems APmeter Zero Export Controller, designed specifically for APsystems EZ1 microinverters. The APmeter monitors household energy consumption and automatically adjusts EZ1 output to help maximize self-consumption while minimizing unwanted power export to the utility grid.
Working with the AP EasyPower app and APsystems cloud-based controls, the APmeter continuously balances solar production with real-time household demand. This makes it an ideal solution for EZ1 installations where export limiting or zero export operation is required.
Key Features
- Smart Zero Export Control: Helps prevent excess solar energy from being exported to the grid
- Automatic Output Adjustment: Dynamically changes EZ1 production based on household electricity consumption
- Maximizes Solar Self-Consumption: Keeps more generated energy available for use within the home
- AP EasyPower App Integration: Simple configuration, monitoring, and system management
- Wi-Fi Connectivity: Supports cloud-based power management and remote export limit control
- Multiple EZ1 Support: Can coordinate multiple EZ1 microinverters without requiring every device to use the same router connection
- Adjustable Offset Function: Helps compensate for rapidly changing household loads and reduce unintended grid export
- Flexible Configuration: Supports compatible single-phase and three-phase installations
- Simple Device Pairing: Configure through Bluetooth or QR code scanning in the AP EasyPower app
- 2-Year Manufacturer Warranty
How the APmeter Works
A current transformer monitors power flow at the electrical service. The APmeter uses this information to determine how much electricity the home is consuming and communicates with the connected EZ1 microinverter system. Solar output is then automatically increased or reduced to better match the home’s real-time electrical demand.
Compatibility
- Designed specifically for APsystems EZ1 plug-in solar microinverters
- Configured and managed through the AP EasyPower app
- The standard CT is intended for applications with a 100A breaker
- Installations requiring a larger 200A CT must use the appropriate compatible CT
Important Installation Information
The APmeter and CT require installation inside or near the electrical panel. Installation should be completed by a qualified electrician in accordance with applicable electrical codes and manufacturer instructions.
Zero export capability does not automatically eliminate local permitting, interconnection, or utility requirements. Always confirm the rules for plug-in solar systems in your area before installation.
